2026 Long Island Math FairThank you for your involvement and support during the 2026 Long Island Math Fair! We’re excited to share that, like last year, this year’s fair was record-breaking, with 740 student participants representing 49 schools. This was a 33% increase from last year. This incredible turnout would not have been possible without your dedication. All results have been emailed to advisors and are also available in the LIMF shared folder. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Respectfully, Ian Dunst, idunst@hhh.k12.ny.us | Thank you for your participation! The Long Island Math Fair (LIMF) is a Math Research Competition for 7th-12th grade students of Long Island Schools, hosted by the Association of Mathematics Supervisors of Long Island (AMSLI). It provides interested students the opportunity to explore topics outside the realm of their traditional mathematics courses, and to research and create original mathematics for themselves. To participate, students must submit a research paper and then present their findings to a room of peers and judges. The LIMF consists of one round, occurring in person at Hofstra University. |
