Long Island Math Fair

2024 Long Island Math Fair

Thank you for your involvement and all of your support during this year's LIMF!!!

We had 466 attend out of the 497 registered students representing 26 school districts across Long Island—quite the event!

All of the results have been emailed to the advisors in a file that is also available in the LIMF shared folder. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any concerns related to any of this information.

Please keep an eye out for a follow-up email asking for some feedback about the fair.

Respectfully,

Ian Dunst, idunst@hhh.k12.ny.us
Charlie Windwer, cwindwer@roslynschools.org
James Zervas, jzervas@herricks.org

The 2025 LI Math Fair
will be March 28th
at Hofstra University.

The Long Island Math Fair (LIMF) is a Math Research Competition for 7th-12th grade students of Long Island Schools, hosted by the Association of Mathematics Supervisors of Long Island (AMSLI).  It provides interested students the opportunity to explore topics outside the realm of their traditional mathematics courses, and to research and create original mathematics for themselves.

To participate, students must submit a research paper and then present their findings to a room of peers and judges.  The LIMF consists of one round, occurring in person at Hofstra University.

Click here for the LIMF application, which contains additional information and to register!
