Group work is more than students sitting together—it's the cornerstone of a thinking classroom. In this interactive workshop, we’ll build on the foundations of Making Group Work the Norm and principles from Building Thinking Classrooms to reimagine how structured collaboration can drive deeper learning.

Participants will explore practical routines and strategies that promote accountability, elevate student voice, and encourage critical reasoning. We’ll challenge common misconceptions about group work, reframe the roles of teacher and learner, and dig into feedback and assessment practices that support equitable, engaged learning.

Expect to experience what it feels like to be part of a high-functioning student group, leave with ready-to-use structures, and gain clarity on how to cultivate a classroom where students truly think, communicate, and solve problems—together.
